| CREST WHITESTRIPS PREMIUM PLUS, DENTAL WHITENING FORMULA SYSTEM |
|
| At one point years ago the dentist told me my teeth could never get white. But that was before these products came out which I believe are actually bleaching the teeth. So I need to ask the dentist about these because one other comment you made in your review concerns me: That they could cause increased sensitivity. I have also, over time, ground down my teeth from grinding at night (now I have a night guard to wear) so my teeth are already quite sensitive to heat and cold.
This seems like a pretty good product, albeit expensive! |

| Crest Whitestrips is an incredible product. It is virtually the same hydrogen peroxide bleaching solution that dentists use. It's amazing how much whiter they make your teeth after only a few days. I've been using them for a couple of years and decided to try the new "Whitestrips Premium PLUS." This product is exactly the same as the regular Whitestrips Premium, except the box it comes in has a window and it comes with 3 extra days of strips. The regular Whitestrips takes 7 days and this takes 10. After 7 days, your teeth are pretty much as white as they're going to get, and I didn't notice much of a difference from the additional 3 days. The "Plus" in the product's name seems to refer more to the much higher cost of this product.
If you're thinking about getting this, just realize that all it is is three more strips, so when you figure out how much you're being charged per strip, you may find you're paying considerably more for these poer strip than the regular Whitestrips Premium.
That being said, the strips are a great product and if you get them, make sure you buy some toothpaste for sensitive teeth because this product WILL make your teeth feel like they're on fire. It's definitely worth it though. |

| I waited for these to go on sale, and when they finally did, I took my $7 off coupon and raced to the store. I had used the original version of these a few years ago, and had remembered getting decent results, so I thought this version would be even better.
Was it? Well I can't say because I was only able to use them twice before the pain got to be so intense that I could not even drink cold water, or eat anything warm. It was awful. The pain does not occur just around the time you're wearing the strip. It occurs all day long. And not to mention that you end up swallowing much of the gel because the strips make you salivate more than normal. So not only are they painful, but they're also a pain to use. I do NOT recommend these. Try the original version (I don't remember having pain from those). |

| When I used these strips, I found that they were too flimsy, and therefore tended to bend back over themselves, making them difficult to apply. After they were applied to the teeth, they did not always stay in place and tended to slide around. Also, it is inconvenient to have to remove the strips, when they have done their work. For these reasons, I do not consider them to be the best alternative. A much better alternative is the dissolving whitening strips manufactured and distributed by CVS Pharmacy, Inc. These strips are less flimsy/ more firm and therefore don't stick onto themselves, they adhere to your teeth far better; AND they dissolve completely in about 5-7 minutes, leaving no messy residue or plastic film to have to discard. On size strip (larger than Crest's) fits both upper and lower teeth. The active ingredients are the same as Crest, but the cost is about half the cost of Crest. Superior to Crest in every way. |

| I've always had really bad yellow teeth (almost brown) and then I tried the original whitestrips and a bunch of other kinds of things....which didn't work too well (there was only a bit of improvement). But then I tried these....and BAM! 2 days now, and my teeth are almost completely white. If you can handle the side effects these are good. They're hard to keep on your teeth, in some cases it may be exteremly painful (like getting your teeth drilled) but I only had that happen with one tooth and these things make you drool like crazy!!!!! If you can handle that, these things will turn even the most disgusting looking teeth white. |

| After the first two strips, I didn't see a noticeable whiter difference in my teeth but did develop a serious case of tooth sensitivity. It was so bad that when I breathed in cold air, I felt a sharp pain in my teeth. It's been three months since I used the strips and my teeth are finally back to normal, but I'll never use this stuff again. |

| Before I used this I had great teeth that were NEVER sensitive or painful, but I used this on and off for 2 weeks and I just couldn't stand the pain. The first 2 days I used the strips, I had to stop due to the NON STOP throbbing for almost 3 days straight. It has taken me almost 2 months for my teeth to recover and still not fully, SO even if you have strong teeth; beware! It's not worth it. |

| I saw a very slight change but not much. My front teeth are a basic bone white, while my teeth on the sides are still yellow.
In between my teeth, still yellow. On the bottoms, the lower half is yellow but that's from saliva getting through. Not happy though. I'll try Swab Plus Advanced. |

| I've used this product twice in the past 12 months and was very pleased with the results. You have to be realistic; if your teeth are naturally yellowish like mine the strips won't make them pearly white, but they did lighten mine enough that I received compliments on my smile.
On the minus side, the flimsy plastic strips (texture like Saran Wrap) don't cover enough teeth so if you have a wide smile you may want to try another product. Also, I had a horrible time keeping the strips from sliding around, especially on the bottom side. I found it helpful to wipe my teeth as dry as possible before applying the strips, but I had to keep my mouth open for 30 minutes so saliva wouldn't cause the strips to move again. |

| It works! Really. Others are right...it kind of makes your teeth "hurt" a little. Which is weird. But, if you want to whiten your teeth, it will. It was only seven short days, and I have good results. Any discomfort was worth it. No pain no gain, right? |

| I think it is a very good product. I have used them off and on for 2 years to whiten my teeth. I once spent 499.00 to get them professionally done and my teeth were very sensitive for about 48 hours. The whitening was a little better but the white fades with time.
At first the strips were a little awkward but after awhile you get use to using them correctly. After applying the strips I kind of suck the strip into my teeth so they wrap tightly around my teeth. That helps keep them in place and also helps whiten in between the teeth. If my teeth get overly sensitive then I will stop for a few days and it always goes away. I believe some people have more sensitivity and that would happen if you had them professionally done also. For the price and convenience - I definitely think they are a great product.
If you have very sensitive teeth I would use them for a day or two and stop for a day or two. You will get whiter teeth it will just take a little longer. |
